Frigidaire FFRA0511R1 5 Window Mounted Air Conditioner

Pro: Inexpensive and easy installation
Con: Could have been quieter

Overall product: A great product at a great price with hassle free installation. Offers great cooling at an amazing price. The only problem which we found with this product was the noise. It could have been quieter but we can’t really complain because of it’s price. Overall, an all round product.

RCA RACE6001 6,000 BTU Window Mounted Air Conditioner

Pro: Digital controls with LED display and remote control
Con: Does not offer good cooling

Quieter But definitely Not BETTER: We were pleased to see the product but alas the happiness went soon as we started installing it. Installation can not be said easy. It took us a fair amount of time, to set up the product. It didn’t offer the level of cooling which we would expect from a product at this price. We were constantly displeased with the product. Maybe it was the product itself. When we tried calling up the customer service, they were as clueless as us. The only good thing about the product was LED Display but it did not do us a bunch of good, as the AC itself was not working well. Should be avoided.

Frigidaire FFRE0533Q1, 5000 BTU

Pro: Display with remote control
Con: Not as value conscious as it’s younger sibling

Underrated by another model of the same company: Frigidaires window mounted AC is a good product but is not so different than it’s $30 cheaper brother. The product is as consistent as you would expect from Frigidaire, so i would leave it at your discretion. Are you ready to shell out $30 dollar for display and little bit modifications. If yes, you would be happy with the product and, if not still you would be happy with the cheaper model.

Frigidaire FFRE0833Q1 , 8,000 BTU

Pro: A value for money product with faster cooling
Con: Nothing we could find as such

This air conditioner tells us how window air conditioner has evolved over a period of time. Gone are the days of bulky product which made noise comparable to rocket launches. In it’s place what we get is a more refined piece with perfect cooling, perfect noise levels. This looks as good as it works. You definitely could not go wrong with this product. Perfectly recommended.

Haier ESAQ408P 8000 BTU Window Air Conditioner

Pro: One of the quietest AC we came across
Con: Does not justify its high price

Expensive But Quiet: Once you cool off the room , it is easy to maintain the temperature, and it is almost as quiet as it is not even working. The build is also good as well as it’s EER( Energy Efficiency Ratio), which is basically the cooling provided per watt. The only problem is it’s price. It doesn’t really justify it’s price as you can get a similar product (FFRE0833Q1) which is lesser by almost $150.

Friedrich CP15G10A 15,000 BTU

Pro: Offers extreme cooling
Con: Quite expensive

The Ultimate Performer: If you have a large area for cooling or you don’t have a problem spending a large amount of money, you will not be disappointed. You get perfect cooling without any compromise. A solid product. The conclusion is you have a range of products over a range of budget. So, pick one according to your budget and beat the heat with the quietest window air conditioner.
