To a world that is bent on making things smaller and lighter,it only makes sense to make a bike that even a small child can lift. That is what the creators of the innovative Hummingbird folding bike must have thought. They went overboard and created a bike that is almost half the weight of the lightest bike in the world.
Pete Cracium, the bike’s creator set out to make a bike that would stow anywhere with ease. His carbon fiber creation, weighing just under 14 pounds fit the bill. Other bikes may fold easily, but are just too darn heavy for urban commuters to pack around. The hummingbird will get you where you’re going, then stow in a backpack or under a desk.
The unique way this bike folds up, and the fact that it uses some of the strongest and lightest materials known to man, contribute to make the world’s lightest folding bike a winner. Check it on Kickstarter!
